1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Chat With Strangers (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
The Service is intended for use only by individuals aged 18 and older. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. The Service does not currently verify age through any technical means, and eligibility is based entirely on your agreement to this requirement.
3. Description of the Service
Chat With Strangers is an anonymous, browser-based platform that connects people for real-time text conversations. No account, sign-up, or login is required. You choose a nickname for each session, and the Service pairs you with another person — or a group of people, in Group Chat — based on the mode you select.
4. Anonymous and Random Chatting
Conversations on the Service happen between people who do not know each other and are matched largely at random, or, in Gender Chat, based on a stated preference. We do not verify the identity, age, or intentions of any participant beyond what these Terms require of you. You should exercise the same caution you would with any stranger.
5. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the content of the messages you send and for your own conduct while using the Service. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service respectfully and lawfully, and not to use it in any way that could harm, disrupt, or negatively affect other users or the Service itself.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You must not use the Service to:
- Harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate another person.
- Post, send, or share illegal content, including content that violates the rights of others.
- Send spam, unsolicited advertising, or repetitive disruptive messages.
- Impersonate another person, organization, or entity.
- Attempt to exploit, disrupt, interfere with, or gain unauthorized access to the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' sessions.
- Use the Service for fraud or any other unlawful purpose.
8. Responsibility for Content
Conversations are not monitored in real time by a person watching every conversation, so you are responsible for evaluating and responding to content you encounter. We do not review messages before they are sent and cannot guarantee that other users will comply with these Terms.
9. Reporting and Complaints
If you experience or witness behavior that violates these Terms, please contact us at vsappstudio@gmail.com with as much detail as you can provide. The Service does not currently include an in-app reporting button; email is the way to reach us.
10. Enforcement
We reserve the right, at our discretion, to end an active conversation or restrict access to the Service for anyone we believe has violated these Terms or otherwise misused the Service. This may be done manually and does not rely on an automated detection or banning system.
11. Service Availability
The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
12. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure, including Firebase and Google Cloud services, to operate. Your use of the Service is also subject to the ordinary operation of that underlying infrastructure, which we do not directly control.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your expectations, be secure, or be free from errors.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chat With Strangers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including content sent to you by other users.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continuing to use the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
